No.06　石垣や　今は聞こへぬ　蝉しぐれ

この絵は江戸城を訪れた際に、その静かな石垣の佇まいに感銘を受けて描いたものです。
江戸城は徳川幕府によって大きな戦火に巻き込まれることなく守られてきましたが、それでも、明暦の大火で天守が焼け落ち、関東大震災や東京大空襲でも被害にあっており、激動の時代を過ごしてきた城でもあります。
現在は皇居として奇麗に管理されています。
激動の時代を過ごし、今となっては静かに佇んでる石垣の様子をタイトルにしました。

No.06　Stone walls,　can not hear it now,　cicada chirps.

When I visited Edo Castle, this painting was inspired by the quiet stone wall appearance.
Edo Castle has been protected by the Tokugawa without getting caught up in a big battle.
Still, Edo Castle was burnt down by the Great Fire of the  Meireki,the Great Kanto Earthquake and Tokyo Air Raid also suffered damage,it is also a castle that has spent a turbulent age.
Currently it is managed cleanly as the Imperial Palace.
I named that it spent a turbulent age,the state of the stone wall quietly standing now.
